Become a Board Member
Dear Prospective Board Member,
We are presently considering nominations for community members to join the Board of Directors for the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children for a three-year term.
To continue our efforts to maintain a productive and progressive Board for the Center, we continue to seek potential Board members with leadership abilities and a desire to help children and adults impacted by violence and abuse, who will assist the organization in growing and developing. All current Board Members have been encouraged to analyze and review their associates, colleagues, and acquaintances.
This application includes:
- Board Application
- Request for Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry and DPS Criminal History Check
- Board Member Expectation Statement
Additionally, Mandatory Reporter Training is required. This training should take approximately one hour to complete and is required annually. Please click this link to complete the training and upload your certificate of completion in your application.
Please review each attachment. The information will help determine where and how you can make the best use of your strengths and talents as a Board Member (i.e., committees, projects, etc.), or in determining that you are unable to consider submission of your name.
If you would like your name to be submitted to the Board for the formal nomination process, please complete the Board Application, Request for Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry, and DPS Criminal History Check, and complete the mandatory reporter training.
If you have any questions or need more information in this regard, please feel free to contact me at 254-752-9330 ex. 110. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Aleigh Ascherl
Executive Director
